Configure Found posting
- Open Admin > Features > Found posts. The default is Off. Expand Change setting, choose On or Off, enter your current password, confirm and save. Full administrators and users granted Feature settings permission can change it. Saved overrides are private and changes are audited.
- New reports is the master switch. Lost submissions need New reports On; new Found submissions need both New reports and Found posts On. Turning Found posts On does not bypass approval, verified accounts, payments, abuse guards or other posting rules.
- Off removes Found and its ownership-reference field from the new-report form and rejects new Found submissions on the server, including the JSON API and forms opened before the switch changed. Administrators also cannot change a Lost report into Found while Off. Existing Found reports are not hidden or deleted: their visibility and management continue under the existing rules. Use Posts to hide or close an existing listing if needed.
- The website, Android app and iPhone web app share this policy. Reopen online or Refresh for the current form; no reinstall is needed. Defaults are in app/site-controls.php under found_posts; private app/site-controls.json stores any saved override. Do not overwrite unrelated settings during deployment.
