How to use LostaFound

Private audio and video for selected friends

  1. Choose a live session or clip, give it a title and select one to four accepted friends. Invited people must accept. Live participants separately select what they send and receive; all camera, microphone and receive choices start off. Press Join only after reviewing them. Receiving does not require your own camera or microphone. The participant list identifies who can join.
  2. Live media uses encrypted WebRTC device connections with Google STUN connection discovery. Participants may see one another’s network addresses. Some networks require an optional configured TURN relay; send a recorded clip if a live call cannot connect. Leaving, hiding the page, losing sharing permission or losing server contact stops camera and microphone. A disconnected host closes the session after about two minutes.
  3. Record up to 30 seconds or select an existing WebM, MP4, Ogg or MP3 file up to 2 MB. Stop and review before sending. Uploaded clips are stored privately for up to 24 hours, and only accepted selected recipients can request their bytes. End sharing removes the active clip immediately; hosting backups have separate retention. Uploaded files may retain location metadata, and recipients can keep copies. No automatic broadcast or recording is enabled.
